Horia Adrian is Country CEO of Romania and Market Head for Emerging Europe at LafargeHolcim. He was Area Manager Middle East for LafargeHolcim, comprising the GCC Cluster, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon-Cyprus and Syria from July 2015 until September 2016.
Prior to the merger of Lafarge and Holcim in July 2015, he was Area Manager of Holcim Emerging Europe with responsibility for Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Caspian region from September 2012.
He holds an MBA from the Ajou University in Suwon, South Korea, and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Dunarea de Jos University in Galaţi, Romania.
He was appointed CEO of Alpha Cement, Russia in 2010 and was previously CEO of Garadagh Cement, Azerbaijan (2007-10), and was Project Manager (2001) and then Director of Sales and Marketing (2004) at Holcim Romania. Prior to his current function, Horia was Head of Business Transformation at LafargeHolcim, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
He was a member of the LafargeHolcim Awards jury for region Europe in 2014.
