Dominique Corvez is Head of Ductal for North America, within the Growth & Innovation Department of LafargeHolcim.
Ductal® is a family of ultra-high performance concretes that provide a unique combination of superior properties including strength, ductility, durability and aesthetics.
He graduated from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France, and holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an Architect after successful studies at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires in Marne La Vallée.
He began his career as a structural engineer at C&E Ingénierie (2007) before joining Lafarge Ductal® as an international business developer (2009). He then became Global Technical Director for Ductal® (2010) managing projects like MUCEM, Jean Bouin and Louis Vuitton and obtained the “Prix AFGC 2013” from the French Association of Civil Engineering (AFGC) for his contribution to those projects.
He became Head of the Ductal® North American business unit in mid-2013 and is based in Chicago. He managed also business expansion in Latin America.
Since 2010, he also teaches at Ecole Nationale d’Architecture de Paris Belleville with a focus on materials, detailing, manufacturing and the relationship between engineers and architects.
Dominique Corvez was a member of the LafargeHolcim Awards jury for North America in 2017.
