Bernard Terver is Head of India for LafargeHolcim.
In this capacity, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Ambuja Cement and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACC Limited in India.
He is a former Member of the Executive Committee of Holcim with responsibility for North America and the United Kingdom.
He graduated from the École Polytechnique in Paris in 1976 and began his career in the steel industry before moving to French cement manufacturer CEDEST in 1977, which was acquired by Holcim France in 1994.
He was appointed CEO of Holcim Colombia in 1999 and also CEO of Holcim Venezuela in 2000 following the creation of a business cluster. In 2003 he was appointed Area Manager for the Andes nations, Central America and the Caribbean. He was appointed CEO of Holcim US (2008) and Aggregate Industries US (2010).
He was appointed Area Manager and a member of senior management of Holcim Ltd in April 2010 and became a member of the Executive Committee in August, 2012. From January 2014 he became responsible for Africa Middle East as well as South Asia, i.e. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Bernard Terver was a member of the Holcim Awards jury for region North America in 2011 and 2014.
